It is best to fully do your own research and then plan your council tax withdrawal by at first protecting your assets for you and your family as described above.

You started by blocking all of the emails from your council, forcing them to write to you. The same should be done with any telephone contact: do not answer any questions if they phone you and then block their numbers. Do not contract with them over the phone, by email or via web forms. Once they start sending you information by mail You can then start the process by sending them an initial Notice that contains a Discretionary, Revokable Conditional Trust and DSAR (See Template files at the back of the e book) and then take it from there, responding to their letters with more information.

Or, if you are confident, you can send a notice of termination and cancel any of the direct debits you had set up the year before. Be prepared for them to issue the summons very quickly, within a month.
